Safety Signs - Prohibition

Prohibition safety signs specify behaviour or actions which are not permitted. Typically prohibition safety signs should be round, with black pictogram on a white background. The safety colour red must appear around the edge of the prohibition sign as well as in the tranverse bar and must cover at least 35% of the area. In order to be fully compliant with 2007 regulations, all new prohibition safety signs should be symbol only and should not contain text. Text should only be shown on a supplementary sign.
