The Tiger Speed Ramp 40mm offers a robust traffic calming solution for your area, designed to withstand general car traffic. These speed ramps are particularly suited for low-traffic areas. Our kits include all the necessary components – mid-sections, end-caps, and fixings – to ensure easy installation into concrete or tarmac.
Each speed ramp consists of interlocking sections, featuring four pre-drilled holes for quick and secure installation. The end caps come with two fixing points and provide a rounded finish to the kit ends.
For optimal effectiveness, we recommend alternating the section colours as shown above. Every mid-section is equipped with six tiger eye reflectors, three white on one side and three red on the other. These reflectors greatly enhance visibility for motorists during nighttime, alerting them to the presence of the speed ramp.
The large size of these tiger eyes surpasses standard reflectors or cat's eyes typically found on other speed ramps, ensuring superior visibility for oncoming traffic. The 40mm incline of these speed ramps effectively reduces the speed of approaching vehicles to 20km/h, making them suitable for various settings and environments.
The Tiger speed bump will slow cars to approximately 20km/h. This allows for a less steep speed bump that will not bring cars to a complete halt, allowing for a smoother traffic flow.
Tiger speed bumps are made from a highly durable polypropylene (PP) material. While tough in nature, they are only recommended for use with light vehicles. Tiger speed bumps are not intended for use with HGVs.
The Tiger ramp is our most visible speed bump. Each mid-section includes 6no. large tiger eye reflectors per mid-section. In comparision, our Pittman 50mm has 4 smaller reflectors per section and our XPT speed bumps only include 2 reflectors per section.
Tiger ramps are very easy to install and come with all sections, end-caps and fixigns required. The mid-sections and end-caps both come with integral connecting points, while the lightweight design makes them very easy to piece together.
